China eases rules for foreign insurance brokers

China has unveiled plans to roll back onerous restrictions on foreign insurance brokers seeking to operate in the country, Bloomberg reported. Some of the rules that are on the chopping block include a requirement that foreign brokerages have more than 30 years of experience and $200 million in assets. The country's insurance regulator will also allow overseas financial institutions to invest in foreign insurers in China.
