Willis Towers Watson’s Q1 revenue increases slightly

Willis Towers Watson PLC reported 1% growth in first-quarter 2019 with $2.31 billion in revenue, the broker said Wednesday.

Corporate risk and broking, its largest unit, reported first-quarter revenue of $728 million, a 2% decrease.

“We are pleased with our first-quarter financial results and the continued momentum in our business,” John Haley, Willis Towers Watson’s CEO, said in the statement.

“We delivered strong organic revenue growth, reflecting solid demand for our solutions and services across all of our core businesses. Likewise, we made solid progress in driving profitable growth, as demonstrated by our year-over-year margin expansion.

“With the disciplined execution of our strategy, we remain confident in our ability to drive profitable growth and deliver value for our clients and shareholders.” 

The company reported 2.8% growth in fourth-quarter revenue.
