Ocado implements risk mitigation measures after warehouse firePosted On: Apr. 30, 2019 5:45 AM CST
U.K.-based online grocer Ocado Group P.L.C. said that it is introducing risk mitigation measures such as smoke detectors and heat sensors after a fire destroyed its automated warehouse in Andover on Feb. 5, Reuters reported. Ocado said that a battery-related fault caused a grocery-carrying robot to catch fire at its distribution center. The retailer said that it had purchased insurance for the Andover unit to cover lost stock and equipment and for business interruption.
