Qatar Re confirms appointment of Michael van der Straaten as CEO

Bermuda-based Qatar Reinsurance Co. Ltd. has confirmed the appointment of Michael van der Straaten as its chief executive on April 26, Bernews reported. Qatar Re-appointed Mr. van der Straaten as acting CEO in January after Gunther Saacke, the reinsurer's former head, decided to step down from the position.
