Mozambican authorities said that cyclone Kenneth destroyed houses, uprooted trees and caused power outages after hitting the country's northern region on April 25, Reuters reported. Officials said that the storm destroyed 90% of houses on the island of Ibo's main town. The storm also destroyed a large number of homes and some infrastructure in Macomia district near Ibo, the officials added.
