Insurers likely to face investigations related to old complaints

Kingsley Grimshaw, an associate at Australia-based law firm BarryNilsson, said that insurers could face investigations related to old complaints about premium mistakes and confidentiality breaches under new rules, Asia Insurance Review reported. Under the rules, the Australian Financial Complaints Authority can investigate complaints up to 12 years old and direct financial firms to make monetary compensation.
