Heavy rains, floods hit South Africa, damage infrastructure

Heavy rains, flash floods, and mudslides struck South Africa on April 22 and April 23, damaging infrastructure and killing at least 33 people, The Weather Channel reported citing sources. Nousa Dube-Ncube, an official at the Department of Co-Operative Governance and Traditional Affairs, said that the catastrophes damaged roads and buildings and caused power outages across the province of KwaZulu-Natal.
