A series of eight bomb blasts ripped through high-end hotels and churches in Sri Lanka on April 21, killing nearly 300 people, The Economic Times reported. The bomb blasts damaged Hotel Shangri La, Cinnamon Grand and Kingsbury among other hotels. The explosions also disrupted several tour operators and travel companies including U.K.-based Thomas Cook Group P.L.C.'s services in the country.
