An insurance official said that Jet Airways (India) Ltd. is ineligible for insurance payouts after the airline suspended its operations on April 17 due to debt-related issues, Moneycontrol reported. The official said that the airline's aviation insurance policy covers terror and war-related damage, third-party liabilities and cargo and excludes financial troubles-related stoppage. The airline had purchased aviation cover from India-based The Oriental Insurance Co. Ltd.
