Insurer eyes expansion in Eastern, Central Africa

Kenya-based CIC Insurance Group Ltd. is considering expanding its operations in Eastern and Central Africa including Ethiopia, Tanzania and Rwanda, Business Daily reported. Tom Gitogo, chief executive of CIC Insurance Group, said that the insurer was keenly following the Ethiopian government's efforts to open the country’s financial sector.
