Intelsat's Boeing satellite fails, causes service outage

Luxembourg-based satellite operator Intelsat S.A. said that one of its satellites made by U.S.-based The Boeing Co. failed due to a propulsion system-related defect, causing a service outage on April 10, Reuters reported. Intelsat said that the satellite's propulsion system suffered damage on April 7 and efforts to save the satellite were unsuccessful.
