GIC Re eyes reinsurance opportunities in Central Asia

Reinsurer General Insurance Corp. of India is in talks with Kazakh officials to enter the reinsurance market in Central Asia, The Economic Times reported. GIC Re is also looking to help Kazakhstan to set up its first reinsurer in its financial hub – Astana International Financial Center.
