Ex-VW chief could face 10 years in prison, stiff fines

Martin Winterkorn, former chief executive of Germany-based Volkswagen A.G., could face up to 10 years in prison and millions of dollars in fines after German prosecutors pressed charges related to the diesel-emissions-cheating scandal, The Verge reported citing sources. Mr. Winterkorn could also have to return nearly $12 million in salary and bonuses.
