China to crack down on hazardous chemicals sector

Chinese authorities plan to appoint special experts to supervise the hazardous chemicals industry after a spate of industrial accidents at chemical plants, Hazardex reported. China also plans to improve, move or shut down all hazardous chemical enterprises located close to residential areas by the end of 2025.
