Brazilian steelmakers are facing iron ore supply-related disruptions after miner Vale S.A. halted production at 10 sites in the state of Minas Gerais following a dam burst, Reuters reported citing sources. Marco Polo Lopes, president of industry association Instituto Aco Brasil, said that long-term disruption could force steelmakers to halt production. The tailings dam at Vale's Corrego do Feijao iron ore mine burst on Jan. 25, killing 228 people.
