Former Marsh exec joins UIB

Insurance and reinsurance broker UIB Holdings (UK) Ltd. on Monday said it has named former Marsh Ltd. executive Julian Ball to the newly created position of managing director North America, nonmarine.

Mr. Ball was most recently managing director of Marsh McLennan Agency Wholesale, U.K. specialties, at Marsh Ltd., London-based UIB said in a statement.

He will be based in London and report to Shaun Barrington, CEO of UIB, the statement said.

“Julian brings a wealth of experience and contacts in the insurance and international reinsurance markets, including a new focus for our North American-facing ventures,” Bassem Kabban, chairman and CEO of UIB Holdings (UK) Ltd., said in the statement.
