Brown & Brown Inc. on Monday said its Oregon unit has acquired Almea Insurance Inc.’s Vancouver, Washington, location.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Almea offers a variety of business insurance products and services to clients in Washington and Oregon and reports annual revenue of $2 million, Daytona Beach, Florida-based Brown & Brown said in a statement.
The Almea team, including shareholders Rebecca L. Lovincey, Kenneth A. Schmidt Jr. and William E. Wilson, will continue doing business from its existing Vancouver location as a branch of Brown & Brown of Oregon LLC’s Portland office under the leadership of Jessica Getman, president of Brown & Brown of Oregon, according to the statement.
Brown & Brown Inc. is the world’s eighth-largest insurance brokerage, according to Business Insurance’s latest ranking.
