Cyclone Idai to cause up to $773 million in economic losses

U.S.-based The World Bank Group said that cyclone Idai is likely to have caused up to $773 million in direct economic losses in Mozambique, Reuters reported. The World Bank said that the cyclone damaged buildings, infrastructure, and agriculture across the country. The losses do not include indirect costs such as reduced productivity or business interruptions, the bank added.
