Aditya Dutt, president of Bermuda-based Renaissance Underwriting Managers Ltd., said that quick and easy deployment of third-party capital is driving its growth in the reinsurance industry globally, Artemis.bm reports. Mr. Dutt said that tapping the capital market is easier than setting up a new reinsurer to cover significant catastrophe losses. Third-party capital accounts for more than half of Bermuda-based reinsurer RenaissanceRe Holdings Ltd.'s $15-billion capacity, he added.
