EU fines General Electric $58 million for misleading in Danish deal

The European Union's antitrust regulator fined U.S.-based General Electric Co. $58.4 million for providing misleading information in its 2017 takeover of Danish rotor blade maker LM Wind Power Holding A/S, Reuters reported. General Electric told the European Commission that it was not developing any other turbine apart from its six megawatt turbine when it sought the EU's approval to buy LM Wind. The EU subsequently found that this was not true.
