Cyber attack disrupts manufacturer’s operations for three days
Posted On: Apr. 9, 2019 6:14 AM CSTA cyber attack hit Japanese optical products manufacturer Hoya Corp.'s operations in Thailand at the end of February causing a partial shutdown of its production lines for three days, Bleeping Computer reported citing sources. Hoya said that malware infected around 100 computers to steal user credentials. The attack hampered employees' ability to process orders with the overall industrial output dropping by roughly 60%.
