China's efforts to curb pollution hits small factories

Chinese authorities have ordered hundreds of small factories in Hebei province to halt production since November 2018 to reduce air pollution, South China Morning Post reported. Business owners said that local authorities in Hebei have imposed production bans on small factories during high pollution seasons like winter despite several owners fitting their workshops with equipment to curb emissions.
