Irish units of 12 UK, Gibraltar insurers unprepared for hard Brexit

Paschal Donohoe, Ireland's finance minister, said that 12 U.K.-based and Gibraltar-based insurers operating in Ireland have not set up contingency plans for a hard Brexit, RTE.ie reported. Mr. Donohoe said that the insurers have yet to set up a branch or seek authorization in Ireland or another European Union country to continue to serve clients post Brexit.
