Vietnamese insurers' premiums rise 17%

Vietnamese insurers' premiums grew 17% year over year while nonlife insurers' premiums grew 9% in the first quarter, Vietnam News reported. Huynh Quang Hai, Vietnam's deputy finance minister, urged local insurers to build the industry’s databases and to work with the government to develop a new law and boost insurance growth.
