Hub acquires transportation brokerage

Hub International Ltd. on Wednesday said it has acquired the assets of Premiere Risk Management Ltd. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Based in Lisle, Illinois, Premiere Risk Management is a full-service commercial insurance broker providing all lines of property/casualty coverage to the transportation industry, Hub said in a statement.

Premiere owner Jim Brdicka and his team will join Hub’s transportation unit and remain in their current location. Mr. Brdicka will report to Dain Dockter, Hub Transportation’s Midwest territory leader in Madison, Wisconsin.

Chicago-based Hub is the world’s sixth-largest insurance brokerage, according to Business Insurance’s latest ranking.
