QBE Insurance to stop thermal coal coverage

Australia-based QBE Insurance Group Ltd. plans to stop offering new policies for thermal coal mines, coal-fired power stations and coal transport infrastructure across the world, starting July 1, Reuters reported. QBE plans to exit from all direct insurance coverage for thermal coal customers by 2030 to mitigate climate change-related risks.
