Chinese insurers' premium income rises 20%

Chinese insurers' gross premium income grew nearly 20% year over year to more than 1 trillion Chinese yuan ($173 billion) in the first two months of this year, Asia Insurance Review reported. Data from China's insurance regulator showed that insurers settled CNY 224 billion worth of claims, down nearly 1% from the first two months of 2017.
