Directors arrested for arson to collect insurance
Posted On: Mar. 28, 2019 6:15 AM CSTIndian police have arrested two directors of SRS Meditech Ltd. for allegedly setting fire to the company's factory to collect 700 million Indian rupees ($10 million) in claims, Hindustan Times reported. The police said the two directors – Sayed Mujahir Askari and Singhraj – had purchased insurance for the factory's machinery, which not on the premises during investigations after the factory went up in flames in October 2018.
