Waica Re eyes expansion in East, Central Africa

Sierra Leone-based Waica Reinsurance Corp. has set up a new office in Kenya to expand its operations in East and Central Africa, The Standard reported. Charles Etemesi, chief executive of Waica Re, said that the reinsurer has invested 1 billion Kenyan shillings ($10 million) in technology to offer reinsurance for all general classes across the region.
