CIOs concerned about malicious insider threats: Survey

A survey found that 61% of chief information officers in the United Kingdom and the United States believe employees are "maliciously" putting their firms at risk, CIO Dive reported. The survey found that 79% of CIOs also believe employees have unintentionally invited security risk at their companies in the last 12 months. Insider data breaches were driven by employee mistakes, lack of awareness and training and the malicious leak of data, the survey added.
