Several small businesses in the flood-hit city of Townsville in Queensland are facing delays related to insurance claims settlement, ABC News reported. The firms said that the uncertainty is hampering their recovery and operations. Karl Sullivan, an official at the Insurance Council of Australia, said that heavy rains, high humidity and mold and its treatment are disrupting the rebuilding and claims settlement process.
