Cyber attack could disrupt global aluminum supply-chain

Experts said that the March 19 cyber attack which forced Norway-based Norsk Hydro S.A. to partially halt production could disrupt aluminum supply-chains across the world, Material Handling and Logistics reported. Michael Widmer, an official at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, said that only a handful of companies in the world can make technical aluminum products required by automakers, further increasing supply-chain risk.
