Singapore firms face compliance risks from overseas operations

Julia Salmond, an official at U.K.-based Dow Jones International Ltd., said that Singapore companies could face compliance-related risks from overseas operations despite strong local regulations, Singapore Business Review reported. Ms. Salmond said that the firms could fail to assess malpractices of foreign units and partners related to corruption and money laundering among other risks.
