Scor SE said Wednesday it has promoted Michel Blanc to CEO of reinsurance for its global property/casualty division amid several new appointments following the retirement of Victor Peignet, the French reinsurer’s former CEO of global property/casualty.
Mr. Blanc’s promotion comes just weeks after Jean-Paul Conoscente, former CEO of reinsurance, was named Mr. Peignet’s successor as CEO of Scor’s global property/casualty division, based in New York.
Mr. Blanc who is currently CEO of the Asia-Pacific region for Scor’s global property/casualty division, will take up his new role from April 1, based in Singapore, a spokeswoman said.
Christoph Spichtig has also been named CEO of the Asia-Pacific region for Scor global property/casualty, while Eric Jenck has been promoted to regional chief underwriting officer of reinsurance for the Asia-Pacific region, Scor said in a statement.
Both Mr. Spichtig and Mr. Jenck are based in Singapore, a spokeswoman said.
Scor also announced a series of appointments in its specialty insurance business.
Stuart McMurdo has been named CEO of Scor Specialty Insurance EMEA operations, based in London, and will continue as CEO of Scor UK and of the Channel syndicate, the reinsurer said.
Fabio Pinho, based in Rio de Janeiro, has been promoted to CEO of Latin America operations for Scor Specialty Insurance and will remain CEO of Brazilian insurance company Essor Seguros SA, the statement said.
Pierre Favennec is promoted to head of strategy and development and will be based in Paris, reporting directly to Mr. Conoscente, Scor said in the statement.
