Google faces stiff fine over its AdSense business policy

The European Union's anti-trust regulator is expected to impose a stiff fine on U.S.-based tech giant Google L.L.P. for its AdSense business policy, Business Insider reported citing sources. Google introduced changes in its business model in 2006, requiring third-party websites to use its ad service if they wanted to include the Google search box on their sites. The European Commission could fine Google up to 10% of its global turnover or $13 billion though the penalty is likely to be much lower, the sources said.
