The next adventure for a Mississippi sheriff’s deputy and prison guard: court and possible jail for fraud, among other charges stemming from his alleged creation of a false report that his all-terrain vehicle was stolen to file a fraudulent insurance claim, Magnoliastatelive.com reported.

Wilkinson County, Mississippi,  Deputy Sheriff Christopher James, who also works as a guard at Louisiana’s Angola Prison, and his alleged accomplice, Kelvin Tolliver, have been indicted on conspiracy and wire fraud charges for the scheme, the news outlet reported Friday.

The indictment alleges that the men conspired to fraudulently obtain insurance proceeds by creating and submitting the false offense report with the Wilkinson County Sheriff’s Department to obtain more than $12,000 in insurance proceeds, the outlet reported.

The case is set to go to trial May 6, according to the report.
