Nonlife insurers' premiums rise 10% in Indonesia

Indonesia's general insurance association said that local nonlife insurers' premiums grew nearly 10% year over year to 70 trillion Indonesian rupiah ($5 billion) in 2018 driven by property business, Asia Insurance Review reported. Property insurance premiums accounted for 27% or IDR 19 trillion of total premiums. Insurers settled IDR 30 trillion worth of claims, up 8% from 2017.
