Organizers set up contingency plans for Tokyo Olympics

Organizers of the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo are setting up contingency plans to mitigate threats related to cyber attacks, terrorism, earthquakes, floods and heatwaves, Business Standard reported citing sources. Japan has set up an elite unit of police and defense ministry experts to counter a possible cyber or terror threat. The government has also introduced rigid building codes to withstand quakes. Tokyo Metro Co. Ltd. is setting up watertight doors at some 400 subway entrances to protect against floods.
