RenaissanceRe gets approvals for Tokio Millennium Re acquisition

RenaissanceRe Holdings Ltd. on Tuesday said it has received all regulatory approvals in connection with its previously announced acquisition of Tokio Millennium Re AG and Tokio Millennium Re (UK) Ltd.
Pembroke, Bermuda-based RenaissanceRe announced Oct. 30, 2018, that it had entered into a definitive agreement with Tokio Marine Holdings Inc. to acquire its reinsurance platform.
Closing is anticipated “as soon as possible, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions,” RenaissanceRe said in a statement.
