Windstorms likely to cause $900 million in insured losses

Germany-based actuarial firm Meyerthole Siems Kohlruss said that recent windstorms Eberhard and Bennet are likely to cause around €800 million ($901 million) in insured losses in the country, Artemis.bm reports. Windstorm Eberhard's insurance tab alone is likely to total up to €600 million. Reinsurers Munich Reinsurance Co. and Hannover Re S.E. are expected to settle claims related to the storms.
