Huawei ban could hamper UK's 5G roll-out

U.K.-based Vodafone Group P.L.C. said that a potential ban on China-based Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. will hamper the United Kingdom's efforts to set up 5G infrastructure and cost hundreds of millions of pounds, Silicon Republic reported citing sources. The U.K. government is conducting a supply chain review to check whether Huawei should participate in its roll-out of 5G infrastructure due to fears of alleged spying and U.S. sanctions against Huawei.
