Ireland proposes Brexit regime for insurers

Ireland has proposed introducing a temporary run-off regime to allow U.K.-based insurers to continue serving Irish customers for up to three years in case of a hard Brexit, Out-Law.com reported. Under the proposals, U.K. insurers will need to cease writing new business in Ireland and exclusively administer their existing Irish insurance portfolio.
