South Korea raids Hyundai office over vehicle recalls

South Korean prosecutors raided Hyundai Motor Co.'s quality division on Feb. 20 as part of a probe into how the automaker and its affiliate Kia Motors Corp. handled engine defect-related vehicle recalls, Reuters reported citing sources. A South Korean civic group filed a complaint against Toyota in 2017, alleging that the automaker delayed fixing engine defects that prompted massive recalls in South Korea and the United States.
