West Virginia insurance commissioner named

West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice has appointed James A. Dodrill as insurance commissioner, effective March 4.
Mr. Dodrill succeeds Allen McVey, who was appointed earlier this year as secretary of the Department of Administration, Gov. Justice’s office said Friday in a statement.
Mr. Dodrill previously worked as corporate claims counsel for Progressive Group of Insurance Cos. for about 20 years, according to the statement.
