Qualcomm ordered to pay $178 million over anti-trust lawsuit

South Korea's Supreme Court has ordered U.S.-based chipmaker Qualcomm Inc. to pay at least 200 billion South Korean won ($178 million) related to an unfair practices lawsuit filed by the Fair Trade Commission, The Investor reported. The regulator had fined Qualcomm KRW 273 billion in 2009 for allegedly providing incentives to smartphone companies that used Qualcomm's chips.
