Thailand seeks temporary closure of factories to combat pollution

Thai officials shut 437 schools in Bangkok on Jan. 31 due to increasing smog levels. Officials said that exhaust fumes, industrial emissions, construction dust, rubbish burning and smoke from rural regions have contributed to the pollution.
