Huawei tells suppliers to shift production over sanction fears

Chinese electronics giant Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. is asking suppliers to move some production to China after potential U.S. sanctions could deprive the company of vital components, Nikkei Asian Review reported. Huawei has asked suppliers including Taiwan's ASE Technology Holding Co. Ltd., King Yuan Electronics Co. Ltd. and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. Ltd.  to relocate some chip production, packaging and testing operations to China.
