Brazilian firms lax over compliance risk management: Survey

A survey found that more than 80% of Brazilian companies do not consider compliance-related issues in strategic and commercial decisions, Segs.com reported. More than 40% of firms did not involve their compliance departments in large-scale mergers and acquisitions while nearly 60% of companies admitted to investing in companies with known compliance-related problems, the survey found.
