Turkey approves law to set up new reinsurer

The Turkish parliament has approved a law that would set up a new reinsurer – Turk Reasurans – to cover large risks in sectors including furniture, paint, plastics, ginning, leather and textiles, Middle East Insurance Review reported. The reinsurer will begin operations after a general meeting which will be held in three months' time.
