OneBeacon recruits former Great American management liability exec

OneBeacon Insurance Group LLC has hired Nelson Kefauver, who most recently was a senior underwriter at rival Great American Insurance Group, as president of its management liability unit, the Plymouth, Minnesota-based insurer announced Monday.

Mr. Kefauver, who is based in Chicago, will lead a specialty underwriting team focusing on management liability insurance for nonprofit and private companies, OneBeacon said in a statement.

Previously, he was chief underwriting officer for the executive liability practice for Cincinnati-based Great American.

Mr. Kefauver replaces Stacy Paquet, who has left OneBeacon “to pursue other opportunities,” a spokeswoman for the insurer said in an email.

OneBeacon was bought by Intact Financial Corp. in 2017.
